Here is a recipe for home-made jewelry cleaner using ingredients you may already have on hand. Just mix 1/2 teaspoon mild dish soap liquid, 1/2 teaspoon ammonia, and 1 cup of water. I made a batch and stored it in a lidded jar. I found this recipe worked especially well on my diamond engagement ring, giving it sparkle, like brand new. However when I tried to clean up a few pieces of tarnished sterling, it took a bit more elbow grease! Try this on your tired jewelry and let me know your results.
